Just opened in early November 2007. Similar concept to Tiara Jacqelina's Rainforest Cafe in KL.
Open air. Diners can choose from various seating arrangement from a Balai with running man-made waterfall beside, under a "hut" and even a tree house/balai up on the tree top. Great atmosphere. Feel like you are in Bali Indonesia, natural, relaxing, and cultural.
Food and beverage is good. We had a burger (RM9.90), Nasi Lemak (RM5.00), Special Fried Rice (RM9.90) Tom Yam Soup (RM20.00 for four person) and BBQ ikan pari (stingray) RM14.00.
Some food items are good value but some are over priced. Good value ones are the burger. U get thick beef pate and chips, cooked prefectly. Nasi lemak is good value too...not bad for a nasi lemak served on a proper dinner plate for RM5.
Now the overpriced ones are the Tom Yam soup. For RM5 per person for a small bowl, although it is delicious but what u is just probably 3 scoops of soup and a prawn. The other over priced dish is the BBQ ikan pari. RM14 was a joke for a very small portion of ikan pari. I can give this dish a miss and rather spend my money on other things. Nothing special. Basic BBQ ikan pari....trust me.
For drinks, I recommend you order the Rainbow Tree ice blended. It is made from fruit flavoured crushed ice (mango, strawberry, kiwi), each layered on top of each other to create a 3 coloured beverage in a large tall glass.
Overall, I like the ambience, food, value and service. Try it. Great venue for food and non-alcoholic drinks.
Open daily from 5pm till late (2am). You can get free hotspot too (from nearby 1926 hotel). Close on Mondays. Open for lunches to from Tuesdays to Saturdays from 12:00pm - 3:00pm
