The deco is nice. Takes you back to the atmosphere of you being in Indo China. Teak wood, wooden elephants and wooden huts. The food is a combo of Thai, Vietnamese and Loatian. Food there typically has a strong taste/aroma.
We had the Tom Yam Soup and green curry chicken and the Vietnamese spring roll (specialty). Tom Yam has a balanced of taste but tends to be on the spicy side. So order it less spicy should be ok for typical diner. The best was the Vietnamese spring roll (pictured). Deep fried to a fluff and has also a balanced taste. Most of the dishes are strong flavoured.
Their signature dish is the Spicy claypot Laotian/Thai Tang Hoon crab
Service is OK. Seems to be less staff to properly service the floor, so sometimes used plates not cleared from tables after the customers had left. The flooring is made of wood, so it tends to be noisy when someone with a hard sole walk past. But on the plus side the food came out from the kitchen very fast. The food came out together with our drinks.....
Overall, pleasant atmosphere, good view overlooking the Penang bridge. In-house music is available later into the dinner session. But the food is on the pricey side
Opens from 11:30am - 10:30pm
